Update from the towns in Western Australia’s North Midlands
Eight towns participated in Stage 1 of the North Midlands Community Builders program, including Carnamah, Coorow, Dalwallinu, Minnenow, Morawa, Mullewa, Perenjori and Three Springs. Stage 1 involved monthly community conversations to share community-building skills and knowledge, and strengthen the connections between towns in the region.
Following this, Stage 2 commenced and each town was offered the chance to participate in Community Opportunity Workshops (C.O.Ws). The towns of Carnamah, Coorow, Mullewa, Perenjori and Three Springs participated in COWs which involved asset-mapping their towns and brainstorming big ideas for the future. Each town then developed a unique Community Action Plan, which can be found below.
