Spread joy this Christmas to our farmers and their families.
For Christmas 2024, Rural Aid, with the help of Santos, reactivated the Christmas cards for farmers program. A few years ago, thousands of school kids from all over Australia sent Christmas cards to our Aussie farmers. The impact was incredible.
These handmade cards didn’t just lift the spirits of our farmers—they also created a connection between country and city kids. A simple message like, “Thank you so much for everything you do to produce our food,” meant the world to them.
One farmer shared their heartfelt response, which you can check out here ⇾
We understand that the end of the school year can be a busy time for teachers and students alike. If you would like to register early to participate in this program in 2025, you can pre-register below and select a time and date that works for your classroom.
Our farmers come from various sectors, including grazing, crops such as wheat and sugar, prawn farming, vegetable growing, and even grape and poultry production—the list goes on. By participating, your students will help put smiles on the faces of farming families who are doing it tough.
How to Get Involved
Get your students to create a Christmas card thanking farmers for their hard work in producing our food and fibre. If you want to print a copy of our 2025 Christmas card templates, pre-register now and you will receive them vis email as soon as they become available.
